👋 Hey there! It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve learned I’m not a fan of posting on social media and had to accept that is OK! I wanted to pop in here to share what I am currently offering. I offer all of these in person in the St. Louis area or through Zoom! Check out www.playfulheartsyoga.com to make a request. See you in my Inbox! 👀

👀 When this nutrition client came to me in May she wanted weight loss, but when we set her SMART goal we realized she needed to focus on sleep first. 😴
🏋️♂️ There are so many factors that affect weight loss and being able to “tone up”. Working out certainly plays a part in these goals, but your nutrition, sleep habits, stress and hormones play a bigger part. Especially once you’re over 40!
🎉 In the almost 7 months working together by Zoom she has had some big wins with sleep and other daily habits. We only just started diving deep into nutrition the last few weeks!
🕰️ Changing habits takes time. It’s like cooking in a crock pot, NOT a microwave. Changing your habits is what will lead to a lifetime of healthier choices. Run from anyone who tells you otherwise.
❓What step can you take today to start your habit changes?

Yoga helps with depression. Studies prove it. 💖
“After eight weeks, yoga participants had a significantly greater reduction in depressive symptoms than waitlisted participants, as assessed through what’s known as the clinician-rated Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology (IDS-CR) scale.
Also, investigators observed that 59.3 percent of yoga participants had a 50 percent or greater decrease in symptoms, compared with 6.3 percent of waitlist participants. Moreover, 44 percent in the yoga arm achieved such low IDS-CR scores that their depression was considered in remission, compared with 6.3. percent in the waitlist arm.
Heated yoga may reduce depression in adults
In a randomized controlled clinical trial, heated yoga sessions led to reduced depressive symptoms in adults with moderate-to-severe depression.
