The sun sets on our run in 2024. We played with passion but couldn’t crack the Burroughs defense. Thank you seniors for your leadership and all of the family, friends, and fans that supported us along the way. Such a great season with an excellent group of teammates that care for each other.
We finished off the week with a 2-0 win against John Burroughs. Sadie Levy scored both goals and Penny Hinkle added an assist. Jamie Sevasko earned another clean sheet and the game ball.
Stay safe.
Kaitlyn King scored the game winner on a layback pass from Amanda Schaut in the final minute of the first half in our 4-0 win. Penny Hinkle scored 4 minutes into the 2nd half on a pass slipped in by Victoria Nelson. Sadie Levy added a goal midway through the half and Emily Heller put in our final goal 4 minutes later on an assist from Molly Huss. Jamie Secasko organized another clean sheet and Gabby Spicuzza earned the game ball. JV won their game 6-0.
Congratulations to captain Kaitlyn King for being the first PCH soccer player to earn a spot on this week’s the “STL BEST XI!” This honor is for high school STL soccer players as voted on my high school coaches. Photo courtesy Colts Center.
We start 3-0 in conference with a Parkway battle against P South. Sadie Levy earned the game ball with her early goal assisted by Emily Heller. 3rd clean sheet in a row for Jamie Sevasko as the team defense stepped up with one of our most cohesive performances to hold the lead.
2-1 win at Northwest to start conference play with 2 wins. Tori Nelson scored in the first half on a Kaitlyn King assist. Emily Heller retook the lead late and earned the Gameball in the game after Alyson Poe won the ball on the side and played Emily in on a great pass.
Severe weather stopped us playing on Monday but we returned tonight for an exciting rivalry match against Parkway West. Midway through the first half, Jamie Sevasko fed Kaitlyn King who made a clever pass to Gabby Spicuzza. Gabby picked out a breaking Emily Heller for the first goal. In the 2nd half, Penny Hinkle extended the lead on a well placed shot after charging down a through ball from Anna Woodall. West was able to get a goal back late with their increased pressure but the Colts end up on top.
3 games back-to-back-to-back to start the season and Varsity earned our first win. Game ball earned by Molly Huss. Goals and assists from Sadie Levy, Kaitlyn King, Emily Heller, Tori Nelson, and Penny “Pickle” Hinkle. Jamie Sevasko earned her first PCH clean sheet. Ellie Sioumcas and Clare Johnston earned the game ball in our first 2 games.
JV earned their first W of the season this afternoon with greet team play on offense and defense.
