Here are some laps with my XRAY X4 around ProLevel RC! Many setup changes on the car and electronic to make it perfect. This carpet compare to Europe has different traction, I couldn't say it's more or less traction it's just different so we needed to change and test a lot.

Day 1 at the HUDY Indoor Champs at ProLevel RC in Chesterfield, MO. XRAY drivers getting some track time in!

Got the t4 set up ordered! Thank you Drew Ellis! I was wondering if there was anyone at the track that could help me make sure my wire job is 💯 with positioning and soldering?

Going to start making my list to race this summer. Drew is helping me out, next weekend I have free I’m going to come up and run a car to check it out. I’ll be running 21.5 tc. So far I have the following to order:

Soooo, that was a heck of a race! Could of been perfect if we would of remembered to put names on the raffle tickets!

The editable set-up sheets for the XRAY X12'21 are finally available! Both for downloading/printing, as well as to upload your sheets on the XRAY set-up database. I took the opportunity to upload my basic carpet set-up for the EU version of the car. This particular set-up is from running at Hudy Arena in October (ETS Carpet). Can't wait to hit the track with this car again soon!

This set-up should be a good starting point for most EU conditions. For racing on CRC Black Carpet, refer to the posts of Max Kuenning on the XRAY X12 page! He has posted his set-ups from both the Halloween Classic as well as the HUDY Race at ProLevel RC which he both dominated!

As for my set-up, here's some general advice for fine tuning:

Quick fixes more steering:

7 or 10K front kingpin l**e
1.5mm under side links front point
Less ackermann (shim servo forward)
Remove front offset shim
More front additive
Mon-Tech M20 bodyshell

Quick fixes for more rear grip:

More ackermann (shim servo backward)
More bumpsteer shim
Remove shim from under side links
Softer center shock spring
Less center shock angle

Anybody want to make a little extra money. I am having some problems medically and can’t get to the track for awhile. My 1/12 car needs a new lower arm and it needs to be put back together. The parts are in a plastic bag on my work area and Drew has the arm behind the counter. At least he did. Let me know if anybody is interstead.

Offroad Info...

Guys going to keep it short and simple and get some basic info out.

Track schedule for Offroad
Wednesday 2-10 open practice
Saturday 4-11 race night, racing at 6:30, 3 rounds and mains

Offroad will start Oct 4th, first race night will be Oct 7th

Ride height 15mm min.

Tires:
Slicks only, must be a part number slick

The shop will be stocking two brands of tires. Looking to be JConcepts and Sweep.

Classes:
2wd stock 17.5
2wd mod
4wd 13.5
ST 13.5

Spec sauce SXT 3.0 only, available at the track

Only the spec sauce and Wurth cleaner will be allowed to be used on the tires, both are available at the track, Wurth cleaner $6.00, SXT 3.0 $12.00.

Chassis protecters, Shock tower protecters and clear telfon tape to be applied to the edges of the wing will have to used,

We are looking into having all this available at the track, this is all to protect the carpet for ripping. Which will be a high priority,

Offroad is coming to ProlevelRC this winter.

We tried are best to insure SMAC trac would carry on. The deal with the new owners of the
building was done but then it wasn’t. We made a deal to do one more winter season there. They got a better offer on the whole building that we could not match. My main worry was getting in there then in a month or two them telling us we had to leave in 30 days which could of been a strong possibility. So after talking with Smac and Brad about the possibility of running some carpet Offroad we thought this would be the best alternative. Yes I know it’s not dirt, but the carpet track will stay consistent from day to day and setups shouldn’t change that much from what was ran at Smac last season.

We have signed a new agreement with the mall and will be staying till April 2024. With possibility to go till 2025. We are currently looking for a new home for prolevel also. My plan is to move to a space that we can have two tracks. Carpet Offroad and carpet onroad. Both tracks being 100x60. So I hope everyone gets behind us and comes and supports us this winter season and helps us grow the St. Louis area RC racing scene.

Here is a short video of Drew and Brad ripping around the track with there mod 2 wheeler. Brad’s car is setup from the last race he attended.

Smac is already planning out the jumps and the first layout design.

Also so I am clear. We are still racing onroad also. Now we will have the best of both worlds.
