University of Maryland Equestrian Team Maryland Equestrian Team The Maryland Equestrian Team is a club sport at the University of Maryland. Our team is not just a competition team.

We compete as an equitation team in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) against other collegiate schools in our region. We offer weekly lessons at Springhill Stables with The Other Left LLC. Our coach is Astrid Dalley, the owner and trainer at Springhill Stables. She comes from a background in Equitation and Jumpers as a junior and continues to show in the hunters and jumpers as a professional. Many of our members take weekly lessons to improve their riding and catch a break from the hectic college life. We hold social events on and off campus from fundraising at Maryland Basketball games to participating in clinics with hunter and equitation trainers in the area. Chloe Nguyen, President

It was great to meet everyone at yesterday’s New Member Interest Meeting! ✨

If you attended the meeting but haven’t completed the Confirmed Interest Form yet, please fill it out using the QR code above or the link below! This form is must be submitted by 12:00 PM tomorrow (9/1)!

The form includes questions about your contact information, riding background, evaluation ride availability, and payment.

Please note that the evaluation ride is $65 per rider.‼️

As a reminder, our evaluation rides will take place Thursday (9/3) evening. Participating in an evaluation ride is required to become a Riding Member. If you are unable to participate, you are still welcome to join as a Non-Riding Member this semester! Non-Riding Members will receive priority for lesson spots next semester.

Sara is a graduate from Emory & Henry where she competed on the IHSA and IDA teams. She has worked at Hollyhurst farm, Shadow Ridge farm, and now Meadowbrook!

We are thrilled to start this school year off by beginning a new chapter with Sara!

With heavy but proud hearts, we say goodbye to our amazing coach, Ryan Carroll. As Ryan leaves Meadowbrook to pursue new coaching opportunities at Madeira, UMET will be behind him every step of the way, cheering him on! Ryan has dedicated countless hours to meadowbrook riders over the past 10 years, and we are so grateful for everything he’s done for our program over the past 4 years.

We are heartbroken to see you go, Ryan, but so excited for your next chapter. Best of luck at Madeira! UMET will miss you!

Here are the updated dates of our shows this semester! 🐢

Let’s take a brief look at the 2025 - 2026 UMET season, shall we?🦄
