I know it doesn't always seem like it, but kids love to rest đ´
Sometimes it's even their favorite part of class đ
They may have been totally bananas 5 minutes ago.
They may be trying to hold in some giggles.
They may be blanketed in rainbow scarves, or watching glitter settle, or upside down and sideways on their mat.
But eventually there's a yawn... the wiggles start to slow... and when we finish our meditation and I say, "you can stretch and sit up whenever you want to," very rarely does anyone immediately move đ
Kids don't always know it, but they love to rest â¨ī¸

Rest, Restore, and Reiki is a monthly class that falls on the second Monday of each month, and that's coming up soon!
Here are some FAQs!
What is this class?
đĢ It's a 90 minute restorative yoga session, where you are sent Reiki energy as you practice.
What's restorative yoga?
đ Restorative is a very slow and supported yoga practice! We aren't using any muscle or force here, or even trying to stretch very much. Instead, we're using props like blankets and bolsters to support our bodies in gentle poses, and then taking a break from busy-moving-doing-all-the-things and just resting. It can feel challenging to be so still, deeply relaxing, and also a little magical!
What's Reiki?
â¨ī¸ Reiki itself is nourishing and supportive life energy. When we practice Reiki, we mean that someone is intentionally channeling that beautiful energy to you, in order to balance and support your whole self.
During this class, we practice distance Reiki, meaning Jasmine will be on her mat and you will be on yours, and she will send Reiki to the group from this short distance.
Who is this class for?
đ If you're comfortable moving through a few floor based yoga poses, this class is for you!
It's even more for you if you want a little time to slow down, if you've been under some extra stress lately, or if you've been feeling a little burnt out. This class is also a great way to try Reiki, if you're new, or receive Reiki fairly regularly if it's something you love!
What other questions do you have? I'm happy to chat and answer them all!
If you're into it, sign up soon, this class is limited to 5 participants đĢļ
