Proud is an understatement!!!!!!!

This weekend in Casper, my U16 National team didn’t just show up we set the tone. Against some of the toughest competition from across the state and surrounding regions, finishing 3rd in the Gold Bracket wasn’t given it was taken.

This team knows exactly who they are and now they’re making sure everyone else does too. The growth, both individually and collectively, has been undeniable. Multiple pins this season, consistent top finishes, and even when we’ve hit bumps, the response is always the same adjust, refocus, and come back better. That’s not luck that’s a standard.

Let’s be clear having athletes ages 13 to 16 competing and succeeding at this level isn’t normal. That’s discipline. That’s toughness. That’s a mindset that doesn’t fold. When this group is locked in, they’re not just competing they’re dictating how matches go. They’re a problem, plain and simple.

And we’re nowhere near finished. Four tournaments left, including a national level event and we’re heating up at exactly the right time.

Credit to our U15 team as well. Dropping only two sets out of six and finishing 2nd in the Silver Bracket doesn’t happen by accident. That’s preparation meeting ex*****on. Their growth, composure, and confidence are showing up exactly when it matters.

Bottom line both teams are trending exactly where they should be and if you’ve been paying attention, this isn’t surprising. The work, the chemistry, the standard it’s all lining up. And if other clubs haven’t noticed yet, they will soon.

Wyoming Whirlwind isn’t just improving… it’s becoming something they’re going to have to deal with.

Whirlwind had an awesome Saturday scrimmage — a true day of collaboration and competitive fun! Our own Whirlwind U13 girls hit the court with Tr1be U14 and Wheatland. Every team brought the energy, talent, and positivity.

A huge thank you to Tr1be and Wheatland for coming to our gym and giving our U13s such a great matchup. These were the kind of scrimmages that make everyone better. High level play, good vibes, and athletes doing what they love.

🎉 Wyoming Whirlwind Volleyball Club Raffle Winners Announcement! 🎉

A little late posting, but we wanted to give a huge shoutout and congratulations to our two lucky winners of the 1/4 beef 🥩: Logan Havens and Marsha Heintz. We're so excited for you both! 😃

This raffle was a massive success, and we can't thank our community enough! 489 tickets were sold! The proceeds from every ticket directly supported our club and its incredible athletes. Over $4,500 went directly towards helping our athletes with their tuition costs. The remaining proceeds earned went towards the cost of the beef and the Whirlwind facility operating costs.

To all the amazing Whirlwind families who went out and sold tickets—your dedication is truly appreciated! And to everyone who purchased a ticket—thank you for your incredible support! Your generosity means so much to the entire Whirlwind Volleyball Club.💚🖤

Hi, this is Coach Mike with the Wyoming Whirlwind Volleyball Club (WWVC).
People ask me all the time, “What makes your club different from any other club in Cheyenne?”
The truth is simple: we don’t just coach volleyball — we build elite athletes.

With 28 years of coaching experience, I’ve learned exactly what separates good from great:
Relentless repetition. Real discipline. Rock-solid resilience.
That’s the foundation of every athlete who walks into our gym.

And the results speak louder than anything I could say.
We have 11-year-olds competing on U14 regional teams, and 14-year-olds earning spots on U16 national teams. That doesn’t happen by accident — it happens because our athletes train at a higher standard.

At WWVC, we refuse to let athletes get bored, comfortable, or stagnant. Our national teams train three times a week, 2.5 hours each session, from November through June in preparation for USA Volleyball Nationals. That’s 9–11 hours of committed, purposeful training every week.

Sharp fundamentals. Precise repetition. Confident athletes.
That’s our formula.

And as you’ve seen from our recent posts, our commitment goes far beyond regular practice.
We attend high-intensity training camps, 4–6 hours long.
We host in-depth clinics — refereeing, scorekeeping, libero tracking — up to 9 hours.
We develop the whole athlete, not just the skills that show up on game day.

These are just some of the reasons why WWVC stands as the premier volleyball club in Cheyenne.
Our standards are higher. Our training is tougher.
