Brooke Smith, 24, an African American nursing student from Gainesville, Florida, was killed in a condo shooting.

She was found shot Tuesday night at Creeks Edge Condos, months from graduating University of Florida.

Police named boyfriend Xavion Perry, 31, as suspect, saying she tried ending relationship.

Perry fled, was chased near Daytona Beach, jumped off a pier, and later died.

UF Nursing mourned her; Yoga Pod Gainesville closed two days to honor Brooke’s memory.

Three endangered children — Na'Laeah Tell (12), Ja’Voun Tell (16), and Ja'mod Tell (9) — have been reported missing from Cleveland, Ohio. Authorities are urgently asking for the public’s help in locating them.

📅 All three were last seen on March 5, 2026, at Artemis Ward Elementary School. Reports indicate they left willingly with their mother after she lost custody of them to the county, which has raised serious concern for their safety.

👩 Na'Laeah is 12 years old, approximately 5’1” tall and 80 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Ja’Voun is 16 years old, about 5’5” tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Ja'mod is 9 years old, approximately 4’5” tall and 70 pounds, also with black hair and brown eyes.

💔 Authorities and their loved ones are deeply concerned and are urging the community to stay alert and share this information. These are children, and every moment matters. Even the smallest detail could help bring them home safely.
