The Midwest’s next big stage for youth competition is set! BELIEVE 13 takes over MSA Woodland on November 14th in Grand Rapids for an action-packed day of high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition.

This event is dedicated to the future of the sport — KIDS & TEENS ONLY — giving young athletes the opportunity to test themselves, gain experience, and compete against some of the best rising talent in the Midwest.

Every referee on our mats is an experienced black belt and IBJJF certified official. We understand how important fairness, professionalism, safety, and knowledge of the rules are when athletes step onto the competition floor.

In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, comfort is earned in the middle of chaos.

Every single competitor, coach, and academy played a role in making this event what it is. The future of Jiu-Jitsu is bright, and it was on full display this weekend.

We appreciate all of you for being part of something special. Our next event is in July and will be both GI and NoGi (grey belt and up).

This was officially the largest kids-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event in the Midwest to date, and that doesn’t happen without the athletes, coaches, parents, and teams all coming together to create something special.

We always strive to be great in every aspect of our events. That said, sometimes things happen that are simply outside of our control. Yesterday, there was an issue with Smoothcomp that prevented the system from accurately totaling team medal counts. Because of this, we were unable to calculate the official team standings at the event.

We’ve already been in contact with Smoothcomp, and their team is actively working to resolve the issue. As soon as it’s corrected, we will finalize the team results and make sure all awards are properly presented and delivered.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. More importantly, thank you again for being part of such an incredible day for youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

We can’t wait to see you all back on the mats in July for Believe 11. Let’s continue working together to raise the level of Jiu-Jitsu across the Midwest.
