Happy ! If you're lucky enough to have some remote days like us, many of our work days celebrate this holiday! The actual holiday itself was created to celebrate dogs as companions and promote their adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups, and humane societies. All of which I can certainly get behind! So here's to man's (and woman's!) best friends - go give yours a belly rub and treat, I'm sure they deserve it 🐶

I'm curious- in this game of life & business - are you playing to win, or NOT to lose? 🤔
In sports, it's widely known that if you are up against your opponent, you can NOT relax. You must keep your feet on the gas, or you stand a good chance of allowing the other team to close the gap, meaning you stand a chance of losing the game.
I see this a lot in the world of entrepreneurialism. And to be honest, I fall victim to it myself.
This theme of "playing not to lose" has come up in numerous coaching sessions of late - including my sessions with my coach.
So many of us are playing to NOT lose… in fact, it's really easy for high achievers to fool themselves into thinking they're "all in". I mean, look at all they're accomplishing day to day!
But what if you were made for even more? What if that end goal, that WIN for you, requires even bigger, messier, scarier action?
If you begin to let yourself "play to win" four things are likely to happen…
🥇 You will identify areas of personal and professional growth that will help you grow into the person that achieves big things.
🥇We must be honest, and you might stumble or even miss the mark once or twice. Don't let that deter you - it's normal. To make an omelet, we have to break an egg or two.
🥇Your bold action is likely to get you results, which will build confidence to do it again and again.
🥇You will achieve more than you ever have.
Any resistance coming up for you? If so, shoot me a message. I'm confident we can overcome and get you back out on that field in no time.

GO!!! Ready... Set. Have you heard this one before?
Many of us are so reluctant, even fearful, of putting something out in the world before we think it's "ready"... that we never put it out there in the first place.
You know how it goes... you have a product or service that you've built, and then those voices in your head cause you to doubt that it's ready to be released into the world. It'll be ready when... or I'll let the world know as soon as I (blank).
I especially notice this in high achievers - people who are so used to earning an A+ that they can't launch that idea until it's there when they get into the real world. But the secret of it all is their "B" is ACTUALLY someone else's A+.
How can you find out how great your idea is? By getting it out into the world! You can tweak it as you go.
Just GO. Get it out there. Solve that problem that needs solving. Launch that idea that needs to be birthed. Do it NOW! Trust me, a little act of courage leads to more and more confidence every time you do it. Need help hitting "GO"? Send me a DM, and we can set up a chat. The world needs it, and it needs you.

"If you have a strong purpose in life, you don't have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there." ― Roy T. Bennett
Your purpose is there. It's always been there. You may not yet be the person who can see it. Look inward and do the work to grow into the person who is ready to take on your life's purpose.

What thoughts pop up for you when you think about taking a day off or giving yourself a "rest day"?
Anything like... "There's too much to do." "If I slow down, I'll fall behind." "I should be able to muscle through." "I couldn't possibly afford a rest day."
My friend, Matt Chavlovich, a former soccer player, taught me a valuable lesson that rings in my ears often. "A rest day IS a training day."
High performers push themselves and don't let themselves rest because "the to-do list is neverending," and "they should be able to push through,"
Pick any sport - let's look at the NFL, my favorite. Do you think professional football players are in their pads, running drills, and hitting hard every day? NO. They'd be broken by week 4.
They pour a good amount of energy into optimizing their rest days and routines to show up that much stronger for performance days.
My point? A rest day is JUST AS IMPORTANT as any other day. If we don't let ourselves rest, recharge, or rejuvenate, we'll be operating in the world with half a tank. That translates to no longer being a high performer but rather a high pusher.
So do yourself a favor - reacquaint yourself with the idea that a rest day(s) - taking time off - is as critical as any other day in your week.
I promise you'll see significant improvements in all other facets of life. And if this challenge sounds daunting? That's a sign that you should prioritize your time off. Hit me up, and I can help.

"Slow down in order to speed up."
That lesson alone has changed so many pillars of my life and business.
How about you? What's your most impactful piece of advice you've been given?

Adam Grant is constantly dropping such valuable nuggets of wisdom!
So why does it matter whether our compass is governed by ambition vs. aspiration?
In my experience, ambition will "get you places" but will never create a life of joy and meaning, just achievements. It's why so many get to the finish line unfulfilled.
Instead, focus on who you aspire to become? Create from that place. The finish line won't matter, AND you'll achieve more (I promise).
