When I got to the Expo, it seems I had failed to register! I pleaded for mercy, and the race officials kindly let me in even though registration was closed. This is the first marathon where I had serious concerns about whether I could finish. This was due to (1) a dismal training season, and (2) a disastrous training run two weeks ago. But the conditions were perfect, and I was able to call upon various strategies that I had learned over the previous 25 marathons. This might have been my slowest marathon, but it was still controlled and sub-6.

Not as brutal as yesterday, but I did a bunch of single-arm overhead squats, which I never do.
