Anjali Mudra. The gesture of prayer, offering, compassion, gratitude, devotion…you may know it from yoga or meditation. I find this pose to be calming, centering and balancing in yoga practice, meditation and when I need to ground myself. Sitting in a comfortable seat, bring your hands to heart center, press your palms together with fingers pointing upwards. You can rest your thumbs against your sternum. Relax your shoulders away from your ears. Focus on your breath and clearing your mind.

Viparita Karani or Legs Up The Wall. One of my favorite restorative poses, rejuvenating for your legs and calming and nourishing for your body and mind. I relax into the pose completely for 5 to 10 minutes.

I walk you through Robin’s Breath. This gentle movement unites the mind and the body as you coordinate movement with breath. A wonderful way to start or end your day.

One minute video of breath work with cat-cow ending in bhaktasana/devotional pose. I do this gentle flow during a warm up, when I’ve been sitting too long and before bed. Stack shoulders over wrists and hips over knees and move with your breath.

Woke up sore after sitting on a bar stool for the Eurocup yesterday so started the morning with cold water immersion then some standing yoga poses. Had the pool and deck to myself, beach was deserted but too wavy for a dip in Lake Michigan. Sequence: Mountain pose-side bend-side twist with cactus arms-Warrior I-Warrior II-Triangle-Warrior II-standing straddle-Mountain.
