Avoid pinching or squeezing the arms to your sides as this can create shoulder problems and disrupt proper shoulder mechanics of movement.
Rather keep space between your body and your elbows and pull pack only as far as you can maintain neutral shoulder position (no forward shoulder) this is usually to parallel with the torso.

Maintain your TPC alignment (rib cage stacked over pelvis), only pull back as far as you can maintain the alignment of the humerus (avoiding the forward shoulder position and place your feet on the pads at a level that your pelvis stays neutral and down, not roll underneath you.
