We know being black is not a monolithic experience. Black History is made everyday, however, February is a month to remember. Remembering all the historical moments and accomplishments made by black women athletes in action sports. 💐 ✨

Today we stand in solidarity with the global shutdown.
Understanding that solidarity can’t be seasonal or one day only. But it is a symbolic pause meant to stir, shake and exercise our power.

If you’re a big brand watching these moments, support has to mean divestment from harm and long-term investment in Black, Indigenous, and migrant communities. Action over optics.

To our community, may we continue to uplift Black, Indigenous, and people of color focusing intentionally on the makers, small shops, and creatives who’ve always built culture without corporate safety nets.
Sustained resistance.

This past year was a lot of fun but also a real test of our integrity, morality and grit.

A challenge to remain vigilant when systems seek to create division, trusting that this work is valuable even if it isn’t fully funded. We did a lot with very little.

In 2025 we connected with 300+ BIPOC shredders across 7 cities giving away over 1000+ items totaling $15K in swag and gear. Hosted 11 events celebrating all wheels while activating at 8 popups, inspiring creativity, skill building and social awareness.

Thank you to our partners, friends and funders. 

As we move into the new year, we remain committed to the belief that through access, information, and resources the world of action sports can grow to become more inclusive and intentional spaces for Black athletes.

DIY means - “Do it Yourself” but for skaters we know DIY means building with community. Carving out a space to shred, by any means, getting resourceful.
Chicago has many great skate spots but not enough permanent skateparks. For the last 5 years our friends at have been organizing and hosting free community programming on the Southside of Chicago.
With some support from last year the park got some upgrades and officially name
All obstacles have been designed and fabricated by Natty Bwoy and friends.

Celebrate with us Sunday and help us
bring awareness to the necessity for permanent community built and led recreational spaces.
