Archer Park Sunday Men's 16" softball league

In 2 weeks we collected over 100 backpacks to be delivered to Emerson Elementary tomorrow a Distric 100 school. Thank you to everyone that contributed from The Garage Smokehouse Grill and Bar to the Dog-E-Styles Grooming Salons and the many donations from the Janura Park Sunday Men's League softball community. I appreciate the love that everyone has shown for the kids who will receive these donations.

To my family and friends please pass the word around a donated backpack will help a child in need. We will be collecting the next 2 Sundays at Janura Park from 10am-2pm. I am willing to meet or pickup within reasonable travel for anyone not available to drop off at the park. Backpacks only not collecting supplies. We will have an inaugural kickoff tournament for the League, single game elimination, winner gets a paid bid to the SSA B-Nationals in July. Contact myself or Joe Belcaster at the numbers listed below or DM me for any questions. 12 team league 6 spots are already taken. . Tentative start date (May 5th) for the regular season, after the tournament (April 28th) no games will be played on Mother's day.

Edited: We are in talks with SSA for the winner of the Innagural tournament to get a paid bid to the SSA B Nationals tournament in July.

As much as we loved playing at Archer mostly because of the years of teams playing against eachother and the commaraderie, we just decided paying more money per year with no opportunities for winning something was no longer a smart play, also the lack of field preperations causing more rainouts than it had to be. Janura park has its own grounds crew which maintains the fields daily. So we successfully held a fall league that was flawless and teams were paid out at the end of the season. We are happy to announce that we are opening a new summer league on Sundays double headers at Janura Park. League fee includes ump fees and balls plus payouts per win at the end of the season. Please message me or call Joe Belcaster for more details we will be maintaining a B-League status per the league rules kicking off the season with a single game elimination tournament and ending it with a tournament style playoff as well. Honestly guys it doesn't get any sweeter that this. We have 6 teams already committed and are looking to fill 6 more slots. Plenty of parking and drama free.

This page is being created for full transparency on the league and its rules. Also to keep everyone informed about league rules and votes made by the committee. We welcome all players and managers to have some input on the league. We just ask to please be respectful to EVERYONE because it's a public page obviously everyone can say what they want but we will have to delete anyone who's starts getting out of pocket. David Padilla will be posting the score sheets from each weekend and any updates on league as well. Please invite your players and managers if they haven't been invited already.
