Chicago Women's Golf Club Inc celebrated our golf season with our Jeannie Williams Championship. This 2 day event started on Saturday at the Calumet Country Club and end on Sunday at River Oaks Golf Course. 30+ women hitting them long and straight (most of the time) 😘. Our season is not over but we gathered today to celebrate our accomplishments and progress as club of Black Women Golfers. In 2 weeks, over 40 of us will travel to Canton, Ohio for 2 days of golf at the historic Clearview Golf Course. What a great time was held this weekend and we want to thank Faye and Joe’s Southern Bowl for hosting our dinner after the tournament. We laughed, had a great meal and celebrated our tournament champions. Congrats to all the winners. Wear those medals proudly cause there are a few ladies who stated that they coming for the gold next year. 🤣

It's that time of year for the Bob-O-Links Jr. Golf Program's orientation.

At 4 pm on Sunday March 24, 2024, Bob-O-Links Jr. Golf Program team will give you all the information you need to get your junior golfer signed up for lessons.

We'll be at the clubhouse at 4 pm. Please stop by and learn about this legendary program.

In Loving Memory of Our Esteemed President Lunyé Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved President, Lunye Williams on December 4th, 2023. Her leadership and passion for women's golf has left an indelible mark on our club, and her absence will be deeply felt by all.

Lunyé Williams dedicated countless hours to fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and a love for the game among our members. Her vision and tireless efforts have helped shaped the Chicago Women’s Golf Club and Bob-O-Links Junior Golf Club into the thriving community it is today. We are grateful for the inspiration she provided and the lasting impact she leaves behind.

Lunye' traveled across the breadth of this country playing golf and doing everything she could to promote her beloved Chicago Women's Golf Club and our rich history. Let us come together as a golfing family to celebrate Lunyé Williams life and the legacy she leaves behind.

The Chicago Women’s Golf Club and Bob-O-Links Junior Golf Club extend our deepest condolences to Lunyé Williams family and friends. May she rest in peace and may her love for the game continue to inspire us all.

Thank you to our Junior Program Director Cathy Taitt, Assistant Jr. Program Director LaWanda Brown, and the rest of our committee for a successful orientation. Looking forward to a great year with our juniors.

Eva Greene sharing her wisdom, she has been a part of our program teaching and mentoring for many years. A former Bob-O-Link Bea Davis shared with the audience that golf has been part of her family's life as her father was a golfer and he kept them all playing.

Ava Gordon, and Joi Harrell giving information to the parents and future Bob-O-Links members about the program and the values the game of golf offers.

Yesterday we had our Bob-O-Links Jr. Golf Program's orientation. This is part of the committee getting things ready. This team gets things done!

Thanks to the staff at The Fairways Indoor Golf Center (Rick Edwards and Ashley Nicole Gardner) for hosting the Chicago Women's Golf Club Inc this morning for our New Member Assessment. Of course, we are always grateful for the assistance of our golf pro, Mr. Emanuel Worley Pro - Golf Academy, who works with us year after year so we can improve our game. We have an exciting year in store for our members and potential new members, but until the weather breaks in Chicago, we can get a jump start on our swings at this indoor facility.
