Did you know that we also have a paddling program?
Here are some shots from this winter’s session courtesy of Manny Camargo, LPs kayak and canoeing guide ❄️🚣♂️
Our Fundamentals of Winter Kayaking runs from November through March, with Saturday morning paddles out of Lathrop. We meet at 7AM, take about an hour to prep and gear up, then head out on the water for 2–3 hours. The club provides everything you need except a drysuit and neoprene gear.
See the group’s full winter kayaking photo journal by visiting https://invinciblechildren.smugmug.com/KayakingTours! And learn more about paddling opportunities on our website.

Strong Finish Campaign Week 4️⃣: LPBC Adult Programs!
This week’s Strong Finish focus is our adult programs, including the competitive masters, single scullers, paddling, and kayak programs.
LPBC is well known for its competitive masters team and single scullers who bring home top honors for LP throughout the year. Several of those rowers have come up through the ranks of our well-coached novice and intermediate teams. LPBC also runs several adult paddling programs, with kayak sessions running year-round out of the Lathrop boathouse, and plans for a multi-disciplinary paddling program in 2026.
Along with our constant efforts to ensure our programs have what they need to thrive, LPBC also provides more than $10,000 in financial aid each year to ensure that anyone who wants to row with our competitive, intermediate, or novice team can do so, regardless of means.
Money raised this week will go toward needed equipment for our adult programs, including oars and coxboxes.
