Really nice night for St Joe race on Margot...second to finish and second in class after corrected time and a nice return trip..start 7pm back to harbor by 8am.. 100+ miles..great team lots of fun.

Interview with NTG CEO Sam Watson following Doyle Sails and Quantum Sails joining the Group It's been a busy time for North Technology Group (NTG) with the addition of Doyle Sails and Quantum Sails just announced, adding the best-in-class sailmakers to their existing portfolio which includes North Sails, and Southern Spars.

Special and huge thanks to Ian Gates and Jim Hillard and the team at Larsen Marine Service, Inc. (LMS) for their efforts last night in retrieving our friends who had come a long way and had engine troubles. I got at call from North Sails Louisa Bobyk who was helping deliver the Soto-40 Afterburn from Toronto to Chicago for the Chicago Yacht Club Race To Mackinac. They were 40 miles out of Chicago and had lost their impeller. Reasonably close (15 Miles) to Larsen Marine Service, Inc. (LMS), I told them to turn west and head there. Ian met me at 7:30PM and we went out and found them sailing in a dying breeze about 4 miles out. We hooked up a tow line and had them into the dock just before 9pm.
Larsens will hopefully have them back on their way this morning. Its been a long journey for Afterburn and thrilled they have come such a long way for the race.

It was a long week in Europe but an awesome end result...Nothing on these boats is easy and it takes a team and everyone at North Sails has been fantastic to work with to get this one completed and on her way!

So awesome to catch up with Brendan McCoy it's amazing at how far you have come! Love you little brother.

Mac race 2023 so far so good..About 25 miles to grey's reef..
