OVER the EDGE

OTE basketball, "over the edge" on fundamentals. For boys & girls seeking A+ prep for high school.

Our philosophy is simple: we are "Over the Edge" on basketball fundamentals. OTE prepares grade school boys and girls to play competitive basketball at the grade school and high school levels. Our program is not affiliated with any high school feeder program. We place a heavy emphasis on sound ball-handling, man-to-man defensive skills and transition basketball. The cornerstone of our program is teaching proper shooting, ball handling and footwork fundamentals. Be sure to check out Greg Kot's book, "Survival Guide for Coaching Youth Basketball" available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Survival-Guide-Coaching-Youth-Basketball/dp/149250713X/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1436917001&sr=8-6&keywords=survival+guide%2Ccoaching+youth

Ricky Moore October Fest Champions 🔥

Congrats to Over the Edge 7th Burgundy opening their 2026/27 campaign by going 3-0 over the weekend in route to their 2nd Jr Hoops Elite Championship.

The boys defeated three tough circuit teams (Next Up, Meanstreets and Prolific) in a great atmosphere. They received a ton of praise from other coaches and families on how mature they looked and how they played. It’s a true selfless team. Way to go boys!

Go Edge!

What a great start to Over the Edge tryouts!

Day 1 brought boys and girls in grades 3rd-8th together for an exciting evening of basketball, competition, and high energy.

The gym was buzzing on both courts from start to finish as players worked through drills, competed hard, and showed off their skills. The effort, enthusiasm, and positive attitude from everyone made for an incredible first day.

A HUGE thank-you to all the players, families, and coaches who helped make Day 1 such a success. We’re excited to keep the momentum going and see what Day 2 on Saturday brings! If you missed day 1 NO WORRIES!! You can still register for this Saturdays tryout! 🔥🔥🔥

Congrats to Lexi Petermann on earning “Top Performer” honors this past weekend at the Prep Girls Hoops Prep Girls Hoops Illinois Freshman Showcase.

Lexie’s game has been on the incline as she has been putting in the work and effort consistently. She also recently made JV Flag Football as well! Definitely an incoming freshman prospect to keep an eye out for at Maine South.
