RISE TRAINING ACADEMY is a cultural space providing wellness and martial arts instruction to the underserved South Side community. We add to the continuing revitalization of the area providing services not currently offered within our neighborhoods. Rise Training is proudly Black-Owned, Filipina-Owned, and woman-owned by business and life partners De Boa and CM Tinta Forte. We are here to help you and your family improve your health through martial arts training, fitness, and dance. We offer quality capoeira programs for kids and adults under the direction of Contra Mestre Tinta Forte. We also have a Samba program for adults taught by Joshlean Fair. Rise Training also provides community resources through collaboration with local businesses and organizations. Outside of our classes, Rise Training hosts health and wellness events that are family-friendly and always free of charge for the community. We also invest back into the community by providing employment opportunities to local residents. Rise Training is also available for school programs, demonstrations, and workshops. Contact us for more info on booking Rise Training for your next event. Come join us for a unique cultural experience! For more information, visit www.risetrainingacademy.com.

79th Street Fest was a wonderful time with our neighbors 💜

We loved seeing kids and families jump in and try Capoeira and Samba with us. So much good energy throughout the day, and it was great getting to share a little of what we do with the community.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Rise booth, joined in, or came over to say hi. We really enjoyed spending the day with our Auburn Gresham community. 🙏🏾

Summer 2 Session 🤍

Life moves fast, and we believe it’s important to acknowledge the wins along the way - learning something new, stepping into a new space, showing up consistently, supporting one another, and being proud of the progress you’ve made.

In a world being shaped by AI and screens, we wanted to celebrate in one of the most human ways possible: breaking bread together 🍽️

We missed those who couldn’t join us, but we’re grateful for every student and family who continues to be part of our Village ♡
