We're adding to our amazing coaching staff.

Breakaway is growing, and we need coaches who love teaching the game and want to help kids get better every week.

We have openings across our programs, from K–12th skill development and Winter Teams to our high school 3SSB program, at gyms in Lombard, Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Mt. Prospect, and Rosemont.

If you've played, coached, or just can't stay away from a gym, we want to hear from you.

"He's the ultimate connector." That's what Jon Scheyer said about Drew Scharnowski at Duke Media Day.

Last year at Belmont, Drew was First Team All-MVC and on the All-MVC Defensive Team. Now he's a 6'9" forward at Duke who can guard all five spots, and Scheyer called him one of the most versatile pick-and-roll defenders in the country.

SI broke down exactly what he brings to the Blue Devils this season.

Breakaway Girls are officially joining the Select 40 League.

Select 40 // Power 24 is one of the premier club circuits in the country, and our girls are now part of it.

What that means for our players:

✅ Competition. Game after game competing against some of the best players in the nation.
✅ Exposure. Every Division 1 program attended a Select 40 // Power 24 event in 2025, including every power conference school. It is an incredible stage for any player who hopes to play college basketball.

This is a huge step for our girls program, and we couldn't be more excited for what's ahead.

Remember, the work you do now is what decides how you will play in July.

Spring team tryouts: Oct 18 & Oct 25 at Connect 44, Lombard.
