HPSD will be closed Monday, 9/7 in observance of Labor Day, with no classes or programs.

Today and throughout the year, we're grateful for the work, care, creativity, and expertise of the people who make our School and our larger community possible.

We believe meaningful work deserves dignity, fairness, and time to rest.

We can’t wait to welcome dancers back into one of our favorite HPSD traditions and start building this year’s production together.

Every dancer who auditions will be part of the production. Auditions help our artistic team find the roles and groups that are the best fit for each dancer.

Today our studios begin filling again with movement, music, familiar faces, new faces, first classes, next steps, and all the energy of a new season.

To our returning dancers, welcome back. And to everyone joining HPSD for the first time, we’re so glad you’re here.

Here’s to a joyful 2026–27 season of learning, growing, creating, and dancing together.

Sundays move together at Hyde Park School of Dance.

Our Sunday schedule brings together some of our youngest dancers in First Steps, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and AcroDance, alongside Musical Theater and Yoga options for older youth, teens, and adults.

It’s a day that reflects what we hope HPSD feels like all week: different ages, different experiences, different reasons for dancing, all sharing space to move, learn, and belong.

From First Steps and Creative Movement to ballet, modern, tap, hip hop, pointe, and adult classes, Saturdays bring dancers at so many different stages of their journey through our doors.⁠

Fridays find their groove at Hyde Park School of Dance.

Our Friday schedule moves from Pre-Ballet, Modern, and West African Dance foundations into advanced Ballet, Modern, and Pointe training, with West African Dance Foundations welcoming dancers ages 9 through adults.

There is no single way into dance and no single path forward. We want dancers to have room to build skills, challenge themselves, stay curious, and feel part of a community along the way.

Thursdays are for building range.

Young dancers finding their footing. Students growing through ballet, modern, and AcroDance. Teens and adults making time to move, train, and keep learning.

At HPSD, growth does not look the same for everyone. There are different ways in, different ways forward, and room to make dance part of your week.

Midweek at HPSD is full out.
