Tomorrow, September 1, is the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. This celebration begins the season of creation which extends until the Memorial of St. Francis on October 4 (however, this memorial is omitted this year because of the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time). Let us continue to pray for and act responsibility toward God’s gift of creation which we have been entrusted to care for.
