Congratulations to Coach Hughes, the coaching staff, and the Von Steuben Panthers football program on winning their first ever varsity conference championship!! It was a heartstopper of a game with dramatic, clutch plays on both sides, leading to movie ending finish, where the offense scores the go ahead TD late in the 4th quarter and the defense fights off the final drive in their own red zone to hang on for the win as time expired.
This is one of the youngest varsity teams in the city AND one of the best coaching jobs of young inexperienced players by a coaching staff that you will ever see.
Playing its first varsity season in 2016, it’s been a long time coming 🐾🏈💪😎
Shout out to all the previous players and coaches who knew this day was coming.

This week's Senior Spotlight is Alexon Arceneaux. Alexon is a 4 year player in the program dedicates himself to working out, eating right, and overall taking care of his body. He is a solid student-athlete that works hard at pass rush in hopes to continue his football career in college.

The First annual JV Football vs Flag Football flag football game was a success.
The Flag team jumped out to an early 6 - 0 lead but JV Football countered and finished with the win 28 - 6 to claim the trophy. It was a truly fun event that we hope continues annually.
