The XC Teams ran strong at the Greenville Classic last Friday.
The guys improved their team time in the 8K by almost two minutes with seven of them setting PR's.
The women improved their 5k team time by almost four minutes with nine girls getting a PR in the 5K.

The XC Team ran strong this past Friday at the Bethel Invitational! Congrats to the Men's XC Team for setting a massive team record in the 8k, to Kevin Drake who finished 13th overall, and to the Women's XC Team for smashing previous PR's, and running debut 5k's!

The Archers had a great first 8k/6k of the season at the Ken Weidt Classic this past Saturday, hosted by Concordia University in Wisconsin.
Both teams ran strong races, set many new PR's, and gained valuable racing experience!

The Men's XC team raced in their first meet of the season, Friday, September 5th, at the Lewis Earlybird Invitational. Teammates Kevin Drake and Joel Mead led the way for the men's team, pushing each other to a 22:20 6k finish. Stay tuned for the MXC team's first 8k race of the season this Saturday, September 13th, at 11 am at the Ken Weidt Invitational at Concordia U. in Mequon, WI.

The Archers kicked off last Saturday morning with a 5k fun run in Humboldt Park. Congrats to Kevin Drake for the win in 18:10!

Congratulations to our Men’s XC team for placing 5th in the NCCAA Division 2 National Championship race!
Freshman Will Hartke finished first for the Archers, covering the 8k course in 30:44, setting a new personal record by 1 minute 22 seconds. Kevin Drake (junior) ran a brave race in 31:19, only a few seconds off his PR. Josiah Berni (sophomore) was next in 31:29, 42 seconds faster than his previous PR. Junior Nate Brant was close behind in 31:42, not far off his PR. Kendall Reyes Montiel (sophomore) rounded out the score for the Archers, finishing his first 8k of the season in 32:18, persevering through a season of injury.
Sophomore David Kettel ran a great race in 32:22, edging out his previous record by 2 seconds. Silas McCormick (freshman) was next in 34:39, (with a 59-second PR), followed by Blaise Naaman (senior) in 34:54, crushing his PR by 3 minutes 41 seconds. William Derby (freshman) was next in 36:30 (1 minute 16-second PR), followed by Nate Darge (sophomore) in 37:13, setting a 46-second PR. Carlos Vasquez Lopez (sophomore) achieved a time of 40:10, 3 minutes 11 seconds faster than his previous record.

Congratulations to our Women’s XC team for placing third this weekend at the NCCAA Division 2 National Championship!!
Freshman Katie Morden finished first for the Lady Archers, pushing herself to a time of 21:50 and breaking her 5k personal record (PR) by 1 minute 11 seconds. Sophomore Kassidy Kleinheksel was close behind in 21:53, setting a new PR and breaking her season record by 31 seconds. Judy Jang (junior) was next in 22:50, crushing her PR by 1 minute 30 seconds, with Natalie Lange (freshman) following closely in 22:56, 1 minute 41 seconds faster than her PR. Cora Muller (sophomore) finished strong in 23:30, setting a new PR by 39 seconds and completing the score for the Archers. Following closely, Samantha Duehring (freshman) pushed to 23:32, 1 minute 56 seconds faster than her PR.
Despite feeling under the weather, Felicity Severs (freshman) achieved a time of 23:30. Rebekah Freund (freshman) was next (23:37, 30-second PR). Rebekah Berni ran a brave race despite battling injury to finish in 23:46. Also finishing strong and setting new PRs: Allison Duehring (25:12, 46-second PR), Hannah Flowney (25:38, 1 minute 16 second PR), Ansley Sovine (25:43, 1 minute 11 second PR), and Molly Pearson (29:38, 58-second PR).

Archers!! Today both our teams will be competing in their last meet of the season at the NCCAA National Championship at Grace College and Bethel University. Our women’s team will be running two 5k and the men’s team a 6k and 8k! Wishing them the best of luck!
