It is with great personal sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Smith. Our beloved mentor, friend and coworker passed away on Saturday evening, August 1, 2020.

Earl has been a valued leader of our Operations team from 1981 through his retirement in 2019 and beyond as a consultant. His loyalty and dedication to the company and knowledge of the industry is one of the reasons for our company's success. On a personal level, we all remember Earl's willingness to teach and help those in need, his exceptional memory and funny yet encouraging stories. Our office will never be the same now that Earl is gone. Please keep Earl's family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.

The public viewing for Earl will be held at Gatlings Chapel, 10133 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60628 on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 1500 - 1800hrs.

Due to COVID-19, the funeral will be private, but all are welcome to attend the funeral procession on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1200 hrs. leaving Sheldon Heights Church of Christ, 11325 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60628 going to Lincoln Cemetery, 12300 S. Kedzie, Blue Island, IL 60406.

Flowers/plants may be sent to the Gatlings Chapel, 10133 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60628.

Cards expressing condolences may be sent to Digby’s Corporate Headquarters, 2850 S. Wabash, Suite 201, Chicago, IL 60616, which will be forwarded to Earl Smith’s family.
