A peek into what my workouts are looking like lately š
Slowly building miles, slowly adding in some run intensity, lots of longer bike workouts, and continuing to be consistent with strength šŖš¼
I had a flareup of PF back in February and it stuck around longer than I wanted but itās barely noticeable now, for which Iām thankful š
A little less strength this week cuz it was a busy week and I know as mileage grows, Iāll continue to modify strength based on how my body is recovering from workouts and time I have to train.
Excited to be noticing some fitness increases already in the last few months of bike workouts and looking forward to continuing the build!

RACE READY CLOSES TONIGHT!š„
Itās always scary to invest in yourselfā¦because that means youāre being seen trying and puts you on the hook for actually leveling up and doing the thing you said you wanted to do.
Change is hard. The unknown is hard. But so is staying stuckā¦.running the same marathon time over and over, even though it feels like youāre putting in more work than before. Always getting the same aches + pains when you start to build for a race. Starting out strong and then fizzling out as the training cycle goes along because life got in the way and you didnāt know how to adjust. Always bonking on long runs or in the race, even though everything else in training seemingly went well.
You get to choose your hard, though.
The Race Ready Training Program is for non-elite runners who want to chase that next PR, run their first marathon feeling strong, or to simply train smarter so they can feel stronger while training + racing.
Race Ready includes:
ā
A training plan in the V.02 app with customized paces + progressively building you in a way that will build fitness but isnāt overly aggressive
ā
Monthly feedback on your workouts to ensure youāre moving in the right direction and course correcting as needed so you can continue seeing progress + not get injured
ā
30+ videos and resources created by me on everything from fueling + hydration, strength training, mental skills, how to adjust your plan in a smart way, race prep, and more
ā
Access to me to ask questions when they come up while training
ā
An online community whoās going through the same ups + downs, supporting you along the way
ā
If local to Chicago, team meetups throughout the summer + fall
All this for less than the cost of a pair of carbon plated shoes + a new fit from Bandit.
If youāre a non-elite runner who is running a Fall 2026 marathon and running between 10-30 miles/week, and youāre ready to invest in your growth as a runner, Race Ready is open for registration until midnight tonight - Wednesday, May 20th. Comment RACE READY and Iāll DM you the details, or you can find them linked in my profile.
Letās go! š„

Swipe to learn something about me that you may not know šš¼
(unless youāve been on my Tuesday newsletters for awhile š)
Sometimes hard work alone isnāt gonna get you to that next big goal.
I work really hard (first generation college student and eldest daughter here šš¼) but Iāve always gotten to the next goal or step faster when Iāve gotten mentorship or a coachā¦in many different areas of my life.
You can spin your wheels and waste time + energy figuring everything out yourselfā¦or you can outsource and invest in the areas of your life that you want to improve.
If youāre a non-elite runner who has a fall 2026 marathon on the calendar and youāre ready to invest in your growth as a runner, check out Race Ready. Doors close this Wednesday, May 20th. Details linked in my profile or comment RACE READY and Iāll DM them to you š„

Running on pain can be a fine line between making it worseā¦or not.
A lot of runners skew in one direction or another, in terms of their comfort with running with some pain. But there is a messy middle and knowing when itās ok versus when to pull back is often something you just need to learn from experience.
Note that if you are dealing with a diagnosed bone stress injury, these slides largely do not apply and you should be working with a professional to rest for the appropriate amount of time and then a return to run progression.

What if you could get better results from a group program than from 1:1 coaching? š
Thatās what happened with .with.michelyne , whoās completed the Race Ready Program twice now, hitting goals in both the half marathon and marathon distances.
Swipe through to learn more about what contributed to this from her viewpoint šš¼
There are a lot of factors that influence your performance and unless a coach takes a wholistic view of training - which most newer coaches donāt have the experience to do - youāre not going to get as much out of the coaching. Iām a better coach now than I was 4-5 years ago and certainly much better than 10 years ago when I started coaching. Experience, continued learning, and looking at the data has all helped and allowed to create a program like Race Ready that can get you the same or better results as a 1:1 coach elsewhereā¦for a fraction of the price.
If youāre a non-elite runner with a Fall 2026 marathon goal - whether thatās to run a new PR, run your first marathon, or have a stronger training cycle without a bunch of injuries + burn out, check out Race Ready. Registration opens Friday, May 15th to everyone and will close EOD on Wed, May 20th. All the details can be found linked in my profile! š„
