7 Days left for voting! Please take a moment and cast your vote for Erin's Hidden Shamrock for the 2024 Hall of Fame! Thank you for everyone who has cast their vote thus far!

09/03/2024

Voting opens today for the 2024 Hall of Fame. We kindly ask you to consider Erin's Hidden Shamrock when casting your vote. Eloquently scribed by Mr. Joe Hopkins, Shamrock influenced and improved an entire breed for future generations!

Erin’s Hidden Shamrock's entire competitive career was spent at the top level as a part of one of the most star-studded and illustrious classes of all-age talent of the last decade. In this gauntlet of competition, "Jack" was victorious in winning three championships, seven runner-up championships, and 15-lifetime placements from the rolling hills on prairies on pheasants to the piney woods of the south on quail. Although a resume this robust for a setter in this realm of competition is certainly hall-of-fame worthy on its own merits, Jack’s greatest contribution to the sport of field trialing and the English Setter breed is his legacy as a sire.

In the last thirty years, it would be difficult to match the influence or find a single comparable that has had the impact on the bird dog world much less a single breed. As a sire, the stud book record shows 84 individual winners amassing an unparalleled total of 333 wins among them. Winners, classic winners, champions, and countless award winners spanning from coast to coast on every upland species in North America and in every realm of competition all the way from your brag hunting dog, to the top tier all-age horseback performers - Jack produced elite performers and he produced them at every level.

Aside from the many performance accolades and the wealth of statistical viability of the dog, Erin's Hidden Shamrock's greatest achievement may just be the culture he has created as a "sire of sires" and a "breed shaper" as well. Hundreds of setter connoisseurs all across the country from all types of disciplines brag, buy, and desire a setter with "Shamrock blood". Similar movements from the likes of hall of fame residents before him such as CH Tekoa Mountain Sunrise, CH Bozeann's Mosley, and CH Grouse Ridge Reroy; Erin's Hidden Shamrock has and will undoubtedly influence the setter breed and the field trial dog as a whole for many generations to come maybe unlike any before him..

The mark of a true Hall of Fame dog should be what his legacy leaves for the sport. Hidden Shamrock’s offspring are solidifying his legacy by producing the next generation of field trial setters! We hope you will consider Ch. Erin’s Hidden Shamrock when you cast your vote this September.
