I live in a small one bedroom with no treadmill, bike or any cardio piece in our space or the building….

The push-up hold at the bottom, a couple of inches from the ground, has done more for my shoulder strength and mobility than lifting hundreds of pounds. For those of us older adults, it’s a good alternative that saves the joints a ton of stress.

A sparse hotel gym doesn’t have to mean that there is not an effective workout you can do…..

1 mile walk on treadmill in 20 minutes (the limit on the machine)

60 sec body scoop holds x 2
60 sec wall sits x 2
100lb farmers walk carries x 2

For a man over 50 like me, this type of workout is way more valuable than lifting tons of weight.

I live in a one bedroom apartment with no treadmill, bike or cardio piece but I still manage to average over 10,000-,15,000 steps each day and this is how I do it. It can be done but you have to have the will to want to get it done. Watch your favorite show, listen to music or a podcast or whatever but you are in control of your life and your outcomes. Try the Plank Body Saw on the Swiss Ball if you want to activate your entire abdominal wall and core.

Remember that if your goal is to be leaner and tighter, then you want to make your body work harder in the shortest amount of time possible. The rules are different if you are trying to get bigger and stronger but too many people follow the wrong rules for the wrong goal.
