There was no internet available to the public in the 1950s, and so every town, area, or country might have a slightly different way of dancing whichever style. Here’s Argentina’s first foray into Rock’n’Roll Jiving. When my dad grew up, it was called “le roc” from “le Rock’n’Roll” in France and Morocco. My mum in England just called it jiving. What did they call it where you lived? Anything different about the style? Whatever it’s called, one thing you can count on is it’s exhilarating to dance!
