We trainers often get asked, "What do you eat for breakfast?" For many of us, the answer is...nothing!
We often try not to eat breakfast --literally to break our fast-- for at least 12 hours after dinner. If you think about it, this pattern of eating was common only a generation ago, with dinner finished by about 7 p.m., breakfast around 7 a.m. Our digestive systems and our insulin levels had a nice, long break.
We 21st century residents, with our early-starting-never-ending workdays and late-night snax (Netflix and munch, anyone?) could benefit from a bit of an overnight break. Try it sometime, especially if you favor an early-morning workout. Who knows? The rotary torso machine might not be so fearsome on an empty stomach. 😁
