Did you know that we, at JKA Chicago, are 62 years old?

Established in 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, JKA Chicago proudly traces its lineage to masters Shojiro Sugiyama, Shihan; Hidetaka Nishiyama, Shihan; and Gichin Funakoshi, Shihan, the founding father of Karate-do.

Learn from our extremely knowledgeable and experienced Senseis, who have directly trained for decades under the tutelage of Sensei Sugiyama, the founder of our dojo.
