The well-attended all-door-car bracket race saw a mix of local and out-of-state drivers find success over the course of the weekend.

Like a case of déjà vu, Nick Hastings of Shelby, Ohio successfully swept both $15,000 to win races, parking his car in the Winner’s Circle on Friday and again on Sunday at the Autoland Door Car Challenge at Byron Dragway.
Brian Folk of the illustrious Folk Race Cars team from nearby Durand, Illinois earned a runner-up finish and. $3,000 payout. Folk, a customer of Autoland Outlets, picked up a $250 bonus as part of the Autoland Outlets Big Money Bracket Racing Contingency Program.

Randy Weller weathered the “who’s-who” of door car bracket racing to bring home a runner-up finish in the $50,000 to win Autoland Door Car Challenge main event on Saturday night at Byron Dragway.
Weller earned a $7,500 payout for his accomplishments.
Randy McFarland was the $50,000 race winner.
The Autoland Door Car Challenge concludes Sunday with a $15,000 to win finale.

Nick Hastings of Shelby, Ohio won Friday’s $15,000 race at the Autoland Door Car Challenge at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois. Brett Williamson of nearby Rockford, Illinois was the runner-up. Hastings won by virtue of a -.003 reaction-time by Williamson.
Friday also featured a winner-take-all “King of Byron” race in which Grant Zimmerman of Pekin, Illinois was the final round winner over Nick Folk of Durand, Illinois. Zimmerman earned a $5,000 payout.
An additional gamblers race to conclude the evening saw Bobby Ince Jr. of Kewanee, Illinois take the final round win over Stephen Liss of Elgin, Illinois.
The Autoland Door Car Challenge continues on Saturday with the $50,000 to win main event. A Quick 16 race, wheelie contest and a burnout contest will add to the festivities on Saturday evening. As part of a special Saturday promotion, beginning at 3:00 PM CT, race fans are invited to watch the races for free.
Sunday will conclude the Autoland Door Car Challenge with a $15,000 to win finale.
