With us this week we’ve got Celia Willison, Kilian Wagen, Juliet Costanzo, Greg Siegwart, Nico Rodriguez, and Alison Kent. Big learning, big fun! We’re rolling into the Thompson Cup tomorrow on the same boats and venue.

Ficker Cup 2024 👊 This regatta has been on our list of ‘must dos’ for a while, and this year we were lucky enough to get an entry one week out from the event! The girls rallied and got to Longbeach for a few days of sailing in the Catalina 37s. We are super proud of how we sailing, although not super proud of the result….. 🤩 Bermuda!

With Tropical Storm Philippe on the way over the island, the race committee had to make an early decision to drop the repechage and go straight to quarter-finals. That meant that after the round robin, our regatta was complete.

It was beautiful sailing conditions for us and the racing we had was close! We really enjoyed sailing the IODs and learning the venue - hopefully we’ll be able to build on it next year. 🙌

While racing is postponed and the tropical storm rolls through, we’re able to see a bit of the island on our handy scooters. Scroll to see the gremlins in their natural habitat. 🛵🏝️

☀️Day One of the Bermuda Gold Cup done! After a morning of practice yesterday, we got into racing the iconic IODs today in the beautiful, although shifty at times, weather.

We’re enjoying learning the boats and the venue, and the racing has been incredibly tight - testing what we’ve learned over the year! We are stoked to be here racing against the best.

We’re definitely only racing sailboats and not scooters.

Bring on day two!!

Check out the Q&A with Serena Woodall, who has sailed with us in multiple events this year and continues her pathway in the 69F and ETF26 fleet with LiveOcean. You rock! 👏

🤍 And just like that, the 2023 Women’s World Match Racing Tour has come to a close! As a team, we competed in the US, France, and Denmark with the Tour this year. 🥈We finished 2nd overall, sharing the podium with Sweden’s WINGS and New Zealand’s 2.0 Racing - some of our closest competitors throughout! 🇸🇪🇳🇿

We’ve had the most fun along the way and want to say a huge thank you to race organisers, hosts, volunteers, and WWMRT’s James Pleasance for all of the work to make these events happen.

But wait. There’s more! Up next - Bermuda Gold Cup☀️

That’s a wrap on the 2023 Women’s Match Racing World Championship! After three days of rain, cloud cover, and a lot of wind 💨, the final day of racing was the exact opposite.

Although we didn’t mind the sunshine ☀️, the current was strong and the wind was very light. We had to finish off our semi finals against 🇸🇪, where we got the first race of the day, but they got the second race for three wins and the move to finals.

We went into petit finals against Vogelius 🇩🇰, and because the wind was so light, the race committee struggled to get a race started and the petits were shortened to sudden death. First to win one race finished third.

After a tricky start, it was hard to find a way to fight back in the conditions and we finished fourth overall. While it isn’t the result we were hoping for, we always learn something new and have a great time sailing together as a team! 🥰

A huge thank you to the race committee, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who made this regatta happen.

Of course a HUGE congrats to our competitors and friends 🇫🇷 for taking the win (again), 🇸🇪 on second, and Vogelius 🇩🇰 for third! 🥳

See you next time! ✌️
