Congratulations to our newest class of Lieutenants who received their assignments on May 2, 2025. These men and women will be serving in districts across the city.

The CPD Knights pulled off a thrilling comeback victory tonight, erupting for 10 runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure a commanding win that was anything but easy.

Trailing 3–2 heading into the bottom half of the eighth, the Knights’ offense came alive in dramatic fashion. The momentum-shifting moment came off the bat of Officer Hughes, who launched a towering grand slam to break the game wide open. His clutch blast accounted for four of the Knights’ 10 runs in the inning and put the game firmly out of reach.

On the mound, Officer A. Hernandez delivered a strong start, tossing six innings while allowing just three runs on eight hits and striking out five. Officer A. Cardoza earned the win in relief, pitching two shutout innings, surrendering only one hit and striking out one.

With the victory, the Knights continue to build momentum heading into a pivotal stretch. Next up: three big games on the slate next week.
