Stop wrestling with your kick drum case! π₯ Say goodbye to the frustration of getting your drum into a soft case. This simple will save you time and energy. Try it out on your next tour!
Breaking down stroke rolls today. π₯
5 Stroke: RRLLR / LLRRL
7 Stroke: RRLLRRL
9 Stroke: RRLLRRLLR / LLRRLLRRL
Speed is a byproduct of control. Focus on the rebound and keep those strokes even!
Moving patterns across the toms can get messy if your stick height and timing aren't consistent. This groove is a perfect exercise for:
Spatial Awareness: Getting comfortable with the distance between your snare and toms.
Dynamic Control: Keeping the volume even while moving between different drum heads.
Tempo Ramping: Iβve included versions from 70 BPM to 150 BPM to help you build speed without losing the pocket.
Quick Tip: Focus on the "lead" hand. If you're right-handed, make sure your right stick is clearing the rim of the floor tom before the left hand follows!
Save this for your next practice session! π©
This is why we do this π«Ά no matter what room we are in, we enjoy every bit of being on stage and showing off our passions. It means the world we get to make ourselves and others happy even if itβs only 30 minutes β€οΈ

This is my life π₯ I've spent 18 years drumming and learning a lot about what it takes to be a musician to be in bands, to record songs, to promote yourself, and to create content there is so much that goes into wanting to do this for a living and I can tell you I've had a lot of conversations with musicians that want to do this, but they don't know what it takes.
Most musicians give up when it gets hard, and most think that there is no money in the future. Being able to do this, and though I may not be the richest musician, I can tell you I get to play drums every day and make money from it somehow. And it is the greatest feeling in my life to know I'm truly making a career that is bound to grow from putting constant effort and energy into pushing myself and learning new skills to make me valuable as a professional musician.
So what I'm offering is using 18 years of my knowledge, all my struggles, all my failures, all my attempts, but also all my successes, all the chances I took in all the secrets that I have picked up over the years of figuring it out on my own. This is the roadmap. I wish I had when I was just starting out wanting to take this seriously so it is my life mission to be the sensei for musicians that also want to figure it out, so we can all succeed together
Life is way more fun when you are passionate about what you do, and you find just a little success in every day to know you're living out your dream. Come live the dream with me π₯π
Iβm looking for musicians who are ready to stop guessing and start building a career.
π Want the roadmap? DM me the word "MENTOR" and letβs talk about your music goals.
Cydeways - Wasted Summer (Bike Drum Cover)
Level up your fills with this RLRKK pattern! π₯
Hereβs the breakdown:
Snare (R-L)
Floor Tom (R)
Double Kick (K-K)
Once you have that down, try moving the second "R" to your Rack Tom for a melodic variation. The key is to start slow and focus on the transition between your hands and feet.
How fast can you get this one? Let me know in the comments! π
