In light of everything that has gone on in the past two weeks with the death of George Floyd & the subsequent protests, Purdue Club Gymnastics cannot ignore the systemic racism that persists in this country. We stand hand-in-hand with those on our team and beyond who’ve lived and worked to succeed in spite of a society rigged against them. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, black lives matter.

In order to do a bit of our part in the effort to bring awareness to the issue and to support those of us who’ve been arrested while peacefully protesting, the Purdue Gymnastics Club is running a fundraiser to raise money for the NAACP legal defense fund. If you’d like to support this effort, please check out our Instagram page for more information.

We had a wonderful 2019-2020 season this year! It was cut short by COVID, but we’ll be back better than ever in the Fall!

This weekend, Purdue Gymnastics Club traveled to Columbus, OH to compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC) National Championships! We are so proud of everyone who competed. Not only did the girls team place 19th in the NATION in their division (way to go ladies!), but also we had many achievements on the men's side as well. Our very own Michael Sparapany won NAIGC Men's Athlete of the Year. Clay Thomas placed 2nd on the Pommel Horse. Dalton Byerly finished 1st in the All-Around, as well as 2nd on Floor Exercise, and tying for 1st on Vault. And our Men's team finished FIRST in the country in our division! So proud of all of our gymnasts, especially those who showed their support throughout the entire weekend. We could not have performed so highly without their support, both from the sideline and from those supporting from afar!

Purdue Gymnastics Club traveled to Bowling Green State University to compete in the Flippin' Falcon Invitational this weekend. In addition to a lot of individual achievements from many of our gymnasts, the women's team took 3rd and the men's team claimed 1st place! So proud of this club and all of its accomplishments.
