Speaking to and motivating students is one of the most fulfilling parts of my career, as I wouldnβt be anywhere Iβm at without others doing the same for me.

The posterolateral corner in all its glory! The PLC is comprised of the three major lateral stabilizers of the knee: the fibular collateral ligament (FCL), the popliteus tendon (PT), and the popliteofibular ligament (PFL).
Up to 20% of patients with ACL injuries demonstrate concomitant injury to this complex, so understanding the diagnosis and treatment of PLC injuries is crucial for ACL surgeons, as missed PLC injuries are a key cause of ACLR failure.
Thanks to and for leading this phenomenal dissection! π¦΄

Meet Mary Kate another one of our amazing physician assistant!
π "The journey to becoming a PA was guided by inspiring mentors and a deep desire to make my corner of the world better. ππͺ My teachers urged us to make a positive impact, and the PA profession offered that path. Today, I'm still inspired by the resilience and success of my patients. πβ€οΈ
My favorite part of being a PA? The connections I share with patients, their smiles when they return to what they love, and the endless learning. π€π I'm fortunate to be part of a dynamic team that pushes boundaries and exceeds expectations. π
Outside of my PA role, I'm an explorer at heart, discovering new spots in the city, savoring meals at restaurants, and itching to travel again. ππ½οΈβοΈ I thrive on adventure, whether it's running by the lake, kayaking, or cheering for the Cubs and Fighting Irish. βΎπββοΈ
My advice for aspiring PAs: Keep your curiosity alive, never stop learning, and soak in knowledge from those around you. π§π Whether you're just dreaming of this profession or have been a PA for years, there's always something new to discover. π©Ίπ

In honor of physician assistant week. Meet Taylor one of our incredible physicians assistant and a little about her:
π βThe journey to becoming a PA was sparked by witnessing the incredible impact they have on patientsβ lives. As an athletic trainer in a clinical setting, I saw their wealth of knowledge and their amazing ability to work as a team to make a real difference. π©Ίπ€
My favorite part of being a PA? Being a part of our patientsβ recovery journeys. The moment a diagnosis hits can be crushing but helping them return to their beloved sports and activities is immensely rewarding. ποΈββοΈπΎ
Outside of the PA world, Iβm all about staying active β running, playing soccer with an awesome team, and exploring the world as a foodie and traveler. πββοΈβ½π
For aspiring PAs, my advice is simple: stay hungry for knowledge, seize every learning opportunity, and connect with as many PAs as you can. We all have unique paths that led us here. ππ€
Feeling truly lucky to be part of this profession! π β ππ©Ί
