Understand the most basic principle of using a fly rod. If it’s bent it has energy and can do work i.e. make a cast. If it’s straight, it can do nothing, no work and no cast, it’s just a stick.

Avoid the knot rabbit hole. It’s common, it’s unhelpful and it’s unnecessary. You need two knots. Find two you like and stick with them. .com
