“Thank you for your service” has a large spectrum. Some serve, leave the military and move on, more or less the same. Others, aren’t as lucky. Some veterans return home completely altered by what they experienced both physically and mentally. These people are often never the same. Sometimes, they can barely function. One beautiful day on the river and a fish can give them more than they get from an entire society, one which often forgets them, especially if they come home broken. Thank you to our veterans, not just today but everyday.

Back east for the first time in a long time. The rich, unique culture and history resonate loudly through my head.

The recent storm added some color and flow. Is it peak steelhead season? No. Are fish still around and did we have good action? Yes. It’s slowing down but there’s still fish in the system and less pressure, making for a peaceful day on a beautiful river.

Flows are up but the Trinity is fishing well. Rain and increased flows are pushing fish around. We’re seeing gorgeous wild fish ready to test your skills and put a smile on your face.

Even with low, clear water, the Trinity’s been fishing well. Fingers crossed for some rain and more good days.
