Only a few dates remain this spring on my calendar for Lake Oroville and the Lower Yuba! With some rain midweek both should get a nice re set and be fishing GREAT!!!

Finally cleared my plate after being gone for over a Week and started tying and getting ready for a bunch of days on the water filming, guiding, and fishing with the boys…One of my favorite flies for spring bass - that I am pretty sure not many people fish - is the broke back shad. I tied this fly to match the size of our wakasagi minnows that are in nearly every California reservoir. This fly can be stripped on a floating or sinking line and fished under the float all winter and spring!!!!

What a week! College tour/recruiting visits road tripping from Detroit Michigan to Milwaukee Wisconsin. 6 schools, 3 lacrosse practices, 2 lacrosse games, 1 AHL hockey game, 6 meetings with coaches, 3 meetings with engineering professors, 2 meetings with strength and conditioning coaches, countless friendly and welcoming lacrosse players, and a lot hard choices for our Ollie because of his dedication in the classroom, the field, and the weight room…. For me one of the funnest weeks of my life. Thank you Jason Grace for all your help and guidance putting the trip together

Shaping up to be a great spring on the inland ocean! Only a few dates left for the spring! Grab them up - float n fly, stripped fly, and top water should be cooking.

Going to have to take a break from comic books and sci-fi novels to read this one. Thanks for the book looking forward to following along on all the trips and stories.
