Facebook has decided to not recommend our page to viewers due to an image we shared of a customer holding a tagger having a great time.

This isn't our first time "violating facebook standards". They claim we are promoting violence every other month due to the realism of our equipment.

If you are seeing this post, consider yourself lucky. The only solution I can think of is if nearly everyone liked, commented, or shared our posts for the next few weeks until our suspension is lifted, perhaps it combats their algorithms. Who knows. All I know is that we are restricted.

We had an absolute BLAST with the Johnson Family Reunion last night! Joanne Johnson wants to know if you haven’t played at AREA 54 yet, then what is your excuse? She is 82 years young and showed her family she is not to be messed with in the Arena!

Family from all over the country gathered for this one of a kind event and everyone left with their face hurting from the smiles. Practically everyone had played laser tag before but nothing like the version we offer.

Open from 3 to 11 today, and 24/7 whenever you want to play with a group of 4 or more for 2 games or more. Come to 103 Elm and let's have some FUN!

We love a party and the concerts Blackwater Restaurant & Lounge puts on are epic.

If you attend, please be aware of where you are parking. We understand our building had been unused, but it is occupied now.

If you are parking right out in front of AREA 54 and are not a visitor of AREA 54, please do not park in front of our building (the Sliced Bread Museum side).

We had a large family reunion last night and they had to park blocks away and walk while every spot was occupied because someone didn't want to park blocks away to attend a concert.

We are all about FUN here, so we arent upset, but it becomes an issue a few times a year.

Since we are all about FUN, we may tastefully decorate the vehicles parked in front tonight for the second concert. Nothing will be done to damage any vehicles, just playful fun.

A bunch of little things can build up to something big, eventually. We are earning peoples trust as a great business to visit one customer at a time.

Today, we captured the attention of a family on a road trip to New York from the state of Washington. They were traveling east on 36 when they decided to stop and rest their legs. A family member googled to see if there was any place worth visiting, and AREA 54's ice cream captured their interest.

I had arrived in the parking lot when they did and they had no idea I was the owner. I listened as they almost talked themselves out of visiting. From the outside of this place, people don't expect anything cool to be inside, and I don't blame them, but it's worth it.

They noticed my AREA shirt and I coaxed them inside. Once inside, they were amazed. They said they had played laser tag before and were just interested in ice cream and rest. We still showed them our equipment and arena. They quickly noticed this wasnt anything like the laser tag they have played and wished they had time to try it out. They claimed they have nothing like this from where they are from.

It was their first rolled ice cream experience but I don't think it will be their last. They were checking whether future stops had rolled ice cream options and loved the flavor and texture of ours. They were surprised we had so many options and each got something different.

They said they would try to make more time for us on their trip back to check out the laser tag. Even if we never see them again, I am extremely pleased that they have fond memories of Chillicothe, MO and they took the risk to see what we are all about.

What are the chances that a stop in a small town to stretch your legs, while on your way to a major market could be one of the highlights of the trip.

Friendly reminder that we are open when you want to visit (24/7). Groups of 4 or more interested in playing 2 game sessions or more simply need to reach out to us by phone, text or email to set something up literally 24 hours a day.

Group discounts beginning with 2 players or more. Open 5 to 11 on Thursday and Friday, 3 to 11 on Saturday, and open whenever you want to play for private parties.

Wouldn't it be cool if we created something that allows you to input your AREA 54 codename into a search engine and it will automatically generate your individual and lifetime gameplay statistics?

What if it showed you how you ranked compared to all the other players who have played at AREA 54?

What if it showed you this months, last months, and a lifetime leaderboard broken up into all the categories from most eliminations to best accuracy, highest killstreak, most points, etc.

That would be something fun and unique taking us one step closer to truly being a live action video game experience.

Well stay tuned because we have created it and are currently testing it for bugs. We have about 500 more game history's to upload to it, update our website to allow access to it, and then it will be ready for launch.
