Born and raised in Chillicothe, Ohio, Cody Broughton’s passion for racing was forged in the pit lanes and grandstands of local dirt tracks alongside his father, Tim. After spending his formative years watching his dad compete, Cody has spent the last three consecutive years building his own legacy behind the wheel.

Following two dominant seasons in karts—securing four track championships and over 20 wins—he officially made the step up into sprint car racing and is continuing to race sprint cars today.

Running as a tight-knit, dedicated family operation alongside his father, Tim, and his son, Trey, the team tackles the grit and glory of the sprint car ranks together.

Cody races in memory of his grandfather, Roy Broughton. ❤️

That makes the car more than just a number. It carries a name, a memory, and someone who will always be a part of Cody’s racing journey.

Deeply invested in his fanbase and local community, Cody frequently brings supporters into the shop to help prep the car. He is also passionate about giving back, having recently showcased the racecar for kids at the Chillicothe Goodwill, returned to his roots at Farmers Raceway, and participated in the Chillicothe VFW Post 108 picnic.

Cody wrapped up an impressive debut season in the sprint cars, locking in Rookie of the Year honors and finishing a stellar 3rd in points for the Ohio Thunder RaceSaver series. With eyes locked on 2027, he is ready to push even harder.

When he isn’t behind the wheel or spending winters managing a tattoo and piercing shop in Mobile, Alabama, Cody enjoys riding Onewheels, hitting concerts, visiting amusement parks, tinkering with RC cars, and gaming.

Unloaded and ready to go here at Portsmouth Raceway Park. We are definitely out powered tonight as we are running the 305 with the 410s but we're gonna have some fun and get some laps in. Sadly it looks like this will be our last race this year. Thank you Aaron Fry for having us!
