Your athletes will not get lost in the mix we plan to have 6 athletes per team so no one sits out games.

Great day for Chino Valley High School Basketball on Saturday vs. Odyssey as we came out with victories in all 5 games. The boys froshmore team started the day with a 45-15 win. The girls JV won 38-12. The JV boys game was an exciting finish. We were down 17-6 at the half but recovered to win 29-28. Down by 3 with 12 seconds left Shea Kinkade hit a 3 to knot it up. On the inbounds pass by Odyssey Luke Olson stole the ball and passed to Logan Quinn whose shot fell just short but the rebound was gathered by Hunter Boudreau. Hunter was fouled on his shot and hit the game winning free throw with 1 second left. It was a night of comebacks as the varsity was also down at the half but came back to win 53-43, without senior captains Freddie Garcia and Landon Smith. Great leadership from seniors Ben Sibole and Jackson Hawks and sophomore point guard Angel Sanchez. So proud of the fight in this group of Cougars! They represent Chino Valley well.

Incredible finish to the game versus Highland Prep last night. Highland Prep held the lead while Jackson Hawks and Angel Sanchez hit big 3's down the stretch to get us within 2. Angel stole their inbound pass with 2 seconds left. Coach Hall took a timeout to set up the final shot. Landon Smith passed in to Angel who returned it to Landon. Landon drained the 3 as the buzzer sounded. Cougars win 59-58!

Great week of tryouts and practices. 36 players on the rosters now. Looking forward to our first test against Winslow on November 20 at our gym. All 3 teams scheduled to play. Make plans to be there! Also be aware that we are practicing on Veteran's Day Monday 11/11 with school not in session. Practice is at regular time, 4-6.

Your athlete will be receiving this checklist. In order to tryout every thing on this checklist must be complete and turned into CVHS athletics department. Not the coaching staff.

Great 3ON3 basketball event today put together by Chino Valley Youth Sports at the CVHS outdoor courts. Lots of participation from our players but also players from Trinity Christian School, Prescott and Prescott Valley. Great to see alumni of Cougar basketball JP Basua and Brian Sutton. So proud of them both. I knew they would be excellent men. Many Volunteers and parents made it all a fitting tribute to Coach Hubble. I am proudly Chino Valley.
