Your physiological state affects the way you think, feel and experience the world around you.
When your body is in fight-or-flight mode, your nervous system is focused on survival. In that state, simply telling yourself to “think positive” isn’t always enough.
Before trying to change your thoughts, start by noticing your body.
How am I feeling right now?
Where am I holding tension?
Is my breathing shallow or restricted?
What might be causing me to feel this way?
Awareness is the first step.
Then come back to your breath.
Sitting quietly and practicing slow, rhythmic breathing for just a few minutes can help signal safety to the body and support a shift toward a calmer, more regulated state.
And when the body begins to settle, the mind often follows. You may find it easier to think clearly, feel more creative, see possibilities instead of problems, and reconnect with a more positive and grounded version of yourself.
✨ If you’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, low in energy or simply out of balance, I invite you to join me for Breathe Into Balance — a SOMA Breath® Journey.
Together we’ll use movement, humming, guided visualization, rhythmic breathing to powerful music and breath holds to help you reconnect with your body, your breath and yourself.
Come breathe with me and leave feeling more relaxed, grounded and balanced.
