🏒🥅 The CYHA Equipment Drive Collection Has Begun! 🥅🏒

The warming house is officially set up and ready to accept donations!

We’re currently collecting:
✅ Youth hockey equipment
✅ Figure skates (all sizes)
✅ Goalie sticks

If you have gently used gear that your family has outgrown, consider donating it to help get more kids on the ice this season.

Donations can be dropped off at your convenience in the warming house collection area.

Today is the last day to register for Summer Hockey! If you register after today, you will be charged a $100 late fee!

CYHA is hosting an Equipment Drive!

Starting May 31st, donations of new or gently used ice hockey and figure skating equipment will be accepted. Items will be organized and redistributed to help support our youth association, Pro Shop, families, and young skaters.

Any excess items will be sold during a garage sale-style event during the first week of Summer Skills as an affordable equipment option for families.

All proceeds will be donated back to the association’s Keepin’ It Cool Campaign to help fund our arena’s new chiller system.

Please don’t forget about the free shuttles from Loopy's Saloon, Grill & Event Dome Saloon and 1917 Lake Wissota

If the shuttles don’t work with your plans, we will also be offering a Designated Driver ticket for $15 at the door.

Our parking lot will be extremely busy throughout the event please proceed with caution when entering and exiting the grounds.

At this time, we ask for continued prayers and positive thoughts for the family, as well as for our CYHA Board, as we navigate the next steps at the rink during this difficult transition.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Billy Fransway passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4th.

Billy showed us all what it meant to be part of the CYHA family. He was involved as a skater nearly forty years ago and later gave countless hours as a parent volunteer.

He spent significant time coaching both within and beyond our association and was a strong supporter and donor through his successful role with Pizza Hut.

During his time on the CYHA Board, Billy led and oversaw our concessions program, helping drive substantial growth and success. He also shared his time and talents with the Riverhawks girls co-op as a coach and CYHA liaison.

Please keep Billy’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We will share Billy’s full obituary as soon as it becomes available.

This is a reminder that tonight is our first Association Membership Work Night!

Our rink needs some TLC, and we’re counting on all of you—remember, we are a 100% volunteer-based association, and it takes everyone pitching in to keep things in great shape.

Tonight’s Work List (April 22nd):

*South rink bleacher ice at boards is very low (noted as non-issue after ice removal)
*Cleaning & organization throughout the facility
*Clean inside and outside of the outdoor rink (ODR)
*Deep clean bleachers
*Deep clean entire rink
*Change COM on player entrance
*Repair holes on ODR boards
*Fix broken/wobbly tables and booth areas in the south mezzanine
*Repair shelving in the dryland room

If we have extra hands, we’ll continue working through additional items on the list.
