NRV Academy of Dance Teaching proper dance technique to help students develop skills, discipline, creativity and confidence.

NRV Academy of Dance is the only non-profit dance studio in the New River Valley area. Our mission is to provide affordable education in the field of dance to help local residents develop skills, athletic ability, leadership, good character, discipline, creativity and confidence. We offer a wide variety of classes, from hip-hop to pointe, and everything in between. Run by a group of dedicated parents, our studio is a home away from home for so many students, and we’d love for you to join our dance family!

Drum roll please for the new floor reveal 🥁

Isn’t it beautiful? 🤩 A HUGE thank you to Handyman Mike (aka Ms Sarah’s dad) and his VDOT coworkers for their help every step of the way through the flooring process! Over four separate days they met the truck to unload the new floor, pulled up and hauled off the old floor, unrolled the new floor, and finally taped it into place. 10 different volunteers helped make this possible and we couldn’t be more thankful!

Before our brand new floor gets installed next week, we invited our dancers to come leave their mark (literally) on the subfloor. A time capsule of our 10th dance season! This new floor should last at least 20 years, so we won’t see these hand and foot prints again until 2046! 👣 🩷✨
