This past Friday, our seniors at Norman Park Senior Center enjoyed a fun-filled Ice Cream Social! From delicious scoops and sweet treats to games, laughter, and great conversation, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. 💕🎲

Montevalle Community Center is getting ready for our Trunk or Treat, and we need YOUR help to make it a success!

Want to decorate a trunk?
We’re looking for community members, organizations, and businesses to participate as Trunk or Treat vehicles. Bring your own vehicle, decorations, and candy to hand out. Spots are $10 to reserve, and every participating vehicle will have the chance to compete in our Best Decorated Vehicle Contest!

Want to help but don’t have a trunk?
We’re also accepting candy donations! Please make sure all candy is store-bought, individually wrapped, and sealed.

Candy donations can be dropped off at Montevalle Community Center during our normal hours of operation. 🍭🍫

Wrapping up August with an ! 🍦🎉

Today, we surprised staff at all 10 of our recreational facilities with a little ice cream and snack celebration to thank them for their dedication and hard work throughout the summer. ❤️

Our Parks & Recreation Department employs 200+ hourly staff who keep programs, camps, classes, events, and services going all year long. We’re proud to be one of the largest employers of young adults in the South County!

The idea for was inspired by an National Recreation and Park Association Director’s School training at Oglebay Park Resort

August Leadership Training! 🌟

Today, we had the opportunity to host our Leadership Training, where part-time staff came together to strengthen their leadership skills, build confidence, and gain the knowledge needed to support recreation centers and programs during temporary leadership assignments.

We’re proud to invest in the growth and development of our team and can’t wait to see these future leaders continue making a positive impact in our community.
