We couldn’t be more excited to have her.
Emma recently relocated to San Diego from New York City where she spent the last 8 years training, performing and teaching. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Emma began her dance training at Texas Ballet Theatre under the teaching of Lyndette Galen at the Dallas School location. She graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with her BFA in Dance Performance where she performed and toured with Kaleidoscope Dance Company and worked with artists such as Hui Cha Poos, Loretta Livingston, Will Johnston and Chip Abbott to name a few. Upon graduating she moved home and trained under the Direction of Jacqueline Porter at The Dallas Conservatory where she completed a Teacher Apprenticeship during their Classical Intensives to further her training and teaching skills. While living in New York City she became a Teacher’s Assistant at The School at Steps on Broadway where she worked, studied under and performed for various artists for many years. Artists she has worked for include Plu Sayampol, Lisa Harvie, Matt Williams, Martha Chapman, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Miz Cracker and many more. Emma has performed at renowned venues throughout New York City such as Sony Hall, Lincoln Center and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Emma taught at Cynthia King Dance Studio in Brooklyn, NY for 3 years. She also taught at The Dallas Conservatory's Summer Intensives and has worked as an Assistant Teacher for various dance conventions throughout the Northeast.
Emma is thrilled to be joining San Diego Dance Academy, teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers with the same passion and artistry that she grew up with.
