🏆 Agora had the honor of training with Giancarlo Bodoni — the first athlete ever to win back-to-back ADCC titles at 88kg, and a John Danaher / New Wave Jiu Jitsu athlete. The level of technical detail he brought was exactly the standard we're committed to building here. We are ready to advance our armbar games. Huge shout out to Gracie Barra Spring Branch for hosting!!!
Giancarlo just opened his own gym in Georgetown, TX — Practice Jiu Jitsu at 1301 Blue Ridge Dr. Kids, adults, competitors, hobbyists ....all welcome. If you're in the area, go check it out. You won't regret it. 🙌

🥋 One of the things we love most about this journey is the people who show up alongside us. At our groundbreaking, we had the pleasure of meeting the team at Rapid Plumbing — and they wasted no time getting to work!

Seeing the trenches dug, the pipes going in, and the framing rising up inside our building is something we'll never forget. This space is being built with real hands, real craft, and real community spirit.

Agora Jiu Jitsu is officially under construction in Cibolo, Texas.
The city has stepped up big time to help us bring quality Jiu Jitsu to the neighborhood! Thank you to everyone at the City of Cibolo, our Mayor, Chief of Police, Chief of Fire, EDS department, and The Chamber. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us — and thank you to Micah Morgan
and the Quality Innovations Inc. team for making this build a reality.

Phase 1 soft opening coming in ~5 months. Grand opening in about a year. We cannot WAIT to see you on the mats.

We are officially breaking ground on the Agora Jiu Jitsu training facility this Monday, April 13th at 10 AM — and we couldn't be more fired up.

This gym is being built FOR this community. Whether you've been training for years or have never stepped on a mat, this will be YOUR home.

Sometimes, oftentimes, construction doesn't go as planned. While we had hoped to be open for phase One by now, we know that doing things the right way with safety and experience a top priorities take TIME. SO, we keep moving towards our goal. Until then, a few of the coaches are throwing mats down, and we roll in the middle of the mess 🤯❤️‍🩹🥋🔥💪😥.

Our building is literally transparent during demo right now… that’s how we’re building our gym and our culture: open, visible, and grounded in clear standards.

At Agora Jiu Jitsu, safety and transparency are built into how we operate; through written policies, clear supervision standards, SafeSport-certified instructors, defined reporting pathways, and a culture that does not tolerate abuse, secrecy, or retaliation.
Parents are welcome to observe. Questions are welcome. Safety is non-negotiable.
Jiu jitsu should build confidence and community. We’re committed to doing it the right way — on and off the mats.

Some gyms say they’re safe. We believe actions matter more than words.
