š„ HOW TO BURN BELLY FAT WHILE YOU SLEEP?
No, weight training doesnāt magically target belly fatābut hereās why the headline matters:
šļø Build muscle. Resistance training gives your body a reason to maintain and build metabolically active tissue.
š„ Increase energy expenditure. Your body continues using energy after the workout as it recovers and repairs. More muscle also modestly increases the calories your body uses at rest.
šŖ Get strongerāfast. Some of your earliest strength gains come from your nervous system becoming more efficient at recruiting the muscle you already have.
𦓠Build stronger bones. Progressive resistance training places healthy stress on the skeletal system, helping support bone density as we age.
And yesāyour body burns calories and uses stored energy 24/7, including while youāre sleeping. Overall fat loss, including belly fat, comes from consistently expending more energy than you consumeānot from spot reduction.
You donāt have to live in the gym.
Start with 2 days a week of strength training.
Get stronger. Build muscle. Improve how your body ages.
MY BODY. MY MIND. MY LIFE.

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY | SWEET OR SALTY?
Healthy living doesnāt mean never having a guilty pleasure. Life is about balance, moderation, and sometimes getting a little creative with your cravings.
SWEET go-to: šš«
Light angel food cake topped with strawberries, blueberries, coconut, and whipped cream. Simple, refreshing, and hits the spot.
SALTY go-to: š š§
Slice up a sweet potato, toss it with a little olive oil and sea salt, and bake until crispy. Homemade sweet potato fries without making it complicated.
The goal isnāt to eat perfectly 365 days a year. Build healthy habits most of the time, enjoy the foods you love in moderation, and find better ways to satisfy those cravings when you can.
Now we want to hear yoursā¦
š© SWEET or š„ SALTY?

š TUESDAY TIP | FOOD + EXERCISE = MENTAL HEALTH
We spend a lot of time talking about exercise for our physical healthābut what about our mind?
Regular movement can help improve mood, reduce stress, build confidence, and give us something incredibly important: forward momentum.
And what we eat matters too. š„
Building meals around whole, minimally processed foods while limiting things like refined carbohydrates, heavily processed foods, and excess added sugar can support both physical and mental well-being.
The goal isnāt perfection.
MOVE YOUR BODY.
FUEL YOUR MIND.
BUILD BETTER HABITS.
Sometimes feeling better starts with something as simple as moving today, eating a little better, and doing it again tomorrow.
At MyFitness Suites, fitness is about more than changing your body.
MY BODY. MY MIND. MY LIFE š

š§ FUN FACT FRIDAY | FASTING EDITION
Think fasting means your body immediately runs out of fuel?
FUN FACT: Your body was built to store energy for periods when food isnāt available.
When food intake stops, the body gradually shifts away from relying on incoming glucose and increasingly taps into stored energyāincluding body fat.
Research on fasting has also explored potential benefits involving:
š„ Fat utilization & weight management
𩸠Insulin sensitivity
ā¤ļø Blood pressure & metabolic health
𧬠Cellular stress-response and repair pathways
š§ Metabolic flexibility
And hereās the wild partā¦
One of the most extreme medically documented cases involved Angus Barbieri, who underwent a 382-day fast under medical supervision, going from about 456 lbs to 180 lbs.
ā ļø Thatās an extraordinary medical case ā NOT a fasting recommendation.
You donāt need extremes to learn something valuable from fasting.
Sometimes giving your body a break from constantly eating can teach you a lot about hunger, habits, discipline, and how your body uses stored fuel.
š„ And with THE FALL CUT coming to MyFitness Suites, weāre going to be learning a lot more about fasting, nutrition, insulin, and our relationship with food.
