At Water Level

I’ve traveled all over chasing fish recently. Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana… creeks, rivers, lakes, tributaries..
And somehow, my new PB smallmouth was waiting for me right here at home.

Less than 15 minutes from my house, on the river I’ve fished more than any other.

Grateful and thankful is an understatement. Just getting the opportunity to come across a fish like this is special — actually sticking her and getting her in the boat is something I won’t forget!

An absolute brute that hit like a truck and officially broke my weight PB.

I’ve got the whole day on video, and I can’t wait to share this one.

Indiana creek hunt for her birthday exceeded our expectations! 🎂🥳 Can't go wrong with a creek full of geodes and smallmouth 🎣🐟

Spent the entire day chasing hybrid striped bass and pretty much everything that could go wrong did. 😂 Forgot gear, had to swim after my boat in the Ohio River at 7:20 AM, lost my hat, snapped off a $100 glide bait, watched other people catch the fish I was after and finally gave up and went home.

After a nap, I dragged the Crescent Kayaks- American Made Ultralight out for a couple hours on the Great Miami before dark. One fish all evening… and somehow it was the exact fish I'd been chasing all day.

Watched the sun rise over the Ohio River and set over the Great Miami. A long, ridiculous, beautiful day on the water.

We hit the road and found ourselves deep into Eastern Kentucky ! Took home our very first Kentucky Agate and caught some really nice creek fish 🎣. The Crescent Kayaks- American Made ultralight was so much fun down in these skinny creeks !

We kept looking around thinking we were in the Florida Keys… but the temperature told us otherwise. So did the fishing. 😂

Lake Michigan is basically a giant aquarium. The water, the rocks, the food, the little towns, the atmosphere — all of it was unbelievable.

And the company was even better ❤️

We had the best week. No rushing around. No real agenda. Just exploring, rock hunting, fishing, eating good food and taking it all in.

Michigan, we’ll definitely be back.
