I happened to look over my shoulder last night and caught one of the most incredible moonrises I've ever witnessed. I literally stopped casting and watched that big orange moon rise over the trees. The days are getting shorter but these sunsets are something else!

Some evenings on the water just leave me speechless.

BIG smallmouth on a BIG glide bait! 🎣🔥

This river smallmouth absolutely HAMMERED the 7” York Casting Co. glide! This is why I'm addicted to throwing big baits for river smallies!

October is off to one heck of a start on the water! 🍂🎣

The fall bite is heating up, the big smallmouth are showing up, and I've been having an absolute blast chasing them around!

Here's a little glimpse of what I've been up to lately, and we're not even halfway through October yet! Plenty of great adventures and some incredible moments on the water I can't wait to share with you guys.

Chasing the last light.
Cooler air, colder water, leaves starting to fall—and the fish are getting bigger. Fall is here, and the big ones are biting on my local river. 🍂

Sometimes the spur-of-the-moment trips are the best ones. Dragged the ultralight down a steep bank and hit the Great Miami with Tim for a couple hours before sunset. Nothing huge, just a good evening working the edge of the river. 🎣

Travis put me on the fish. 🎣

After losing an absolute river giant on my last trip down the Whitewater, I came back with some unfinished business.

This time I teamed up with Travis Bauer from LMRO , and he delivered. Big smallmouth, an eagle overhead, an incredible lunch on the river, and one of those days you don’t forget.

And yeah… redemption was had. 😂 Huge thanks to Travis for an awesome day on the water and for putting me on some absolute river brutes.
